Writing & Beyond is the writing arm (or hand... XD) of the FVWG, which was founded in 2015 to help writers in the Southern Wake area tell their stories. In 2017 we moved beyond our own local borders and established an online community.
Whether you are writing a novel, short story, children’s book, non-fiction, poetry, music, film script, or a little of everything,
Writing & Beyond
is here to help you find a voice and reach your goals.
We are a supportive and inclusive community of writers (of all skill levels). New members (from around the globe) are always welcome! If you are writing (or even just thinking of writing), are an editor or publisher, or have skills related to some other aspect of the writing/publishing process, please join us!
Our Writing & Beyond online community is free to use and open to everyone, however, if you live in the local Southern Wake area of North Carolina and would like to join our in-person monthly meetings, we do have an annual fee of $25 *. This goes to help cover the cost of events and opportunities for the group throughout the year. Our main Facebook page lists information related specifically to the group, along with resources and opportunities that might be of interest to our writers. In addition to filing out our online form, membership applications are also available at our meetings, or in the file section of the W&B chat group.
Other benefits of membership include:
* Book Signing and Selling Events
* Author Speaking Engagement Opportunities
* Writer Workshops
* Help with Publishing and Marketing
* Social Media Exposure
* Feedback and Support
* FB Chat Group
* Being Part of an Amazing Community of Writers
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us!!
* sliding scale available if needed. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
