The FVWG was founded in 2015 to help writers in the Southern Wake area tell their stories. In 2017 we moved beyond our own local borders and established an online community. Whether you are writing a novel, short story, children’s book, non-fiction,
poetry or a little of everything, the
Writing & Beyond
are here to help you find a voice and reach your goals.
We are a supportive and inclusive community of writers (of all skill levels). New members are always welcome! If you are writing (or even just thinking of writing), are an editor or publisher, or have skills related to some other aspect of the writing/publishing process, please join us!
Our Writing & Beyond online community is free to use and open to everyone, however, if you live in the local Southern Wake area of North Carolina and would like to join the FVWG for our in-person monthly meetings, we do have an annual fee of $25 *. This covers the cost of our Chamber of Commerce membership as well as helps us to fund other events and opportunities for the Guild throughout the year. Our main Facebook page lists events and information related specifically to the FVWG, along with resources and opportunities that might be of interest to our writers. Membership applications are available at our meetings, or in the file section of the FVWG Chat Group.
Other benefits of FVWG membership include:
* Book Signing and Selling Events
* Author Speaking Engagement Opportunities
* Writer Workshops
* Help with Publishing and Marketing
* Social Media Exposure
* Feedback and Support
* FB Chat Group
* Opportunity to Participate in the Christmas Parade
* Being Part of an Amazing Community of Writers
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us!!
* sliding scale available if needed. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
